The top-10 finalists and winner of the 2009 Search for Texas’ Next Top Designer competition at its third annual gala on May 21 at Victory Park. A celebration will continue immediately following the event with an after party at Ghostbar®, atop the W Dallas – Victory Hotel.

The event will be a true celebration of the best design talent in Texas with unique entertainment, including Project Runway designer Elisa Jimenez, who will unveil a new Rock Fashion Opera, designed specifically for this gala. The 2009 Texas’ Next Top Designer winner will receive generous financial support and production assistance from the organization as well as exposure to media and vast and innovative resources. The prize package is valued at $40,000 and also includes a one-year styling contract for all public appearances from Toni & Guy.

The 2009 Texas Next Top Designer fashion awards will be produced by Diane Reeves; Gevoffrey Henning, fashion director at JCPenney; Kate Wagner of the Campbell Wagner Agency and Bret McKinney, director of visuals at Stanley Korshak. In addition, the following esteemed sponsors helped make this event possible: W Hotel, Weber Shandwick, Victory Park, The Campbell Wagner Agency, Mind Iris, The Art Institute, Toni & Guy and Tyku Sake.

Tickets are available in advance for a reduced rate of $40 or at the door for $50.
